nato a Parigi 1857 Atget è considerato un precursore del reportage e riuscì ad archiviare qualcosa come ottomila scatti in cui rappresentava temi estremamente attuali con immagini crude e di denuncia. Venne chiamato come fotografo dai maggiori esponenti dell'arte che in quel momento ne rappresentavano il fulcro internazionale. Fu incaricato successivamente dallo stesso Governo francese di lasciare testimonianza dei monumenti della capitale. Muore a Parigi nel 1827.

Born in Paris in 1857. Atget is considered the forerunner of reportage and managed to file something like 8000 releases, which represented real, extreme themes with harsh images.
